[Media Invite] Singapore International Jewelry Expo (SIJE) 2015

Over the past 4 days (2 - 5 July), Marina Bay Sands Singapore held the Largest Consumer Jewelry Event in Singapore - Singapore International Jewelry Expo (SIJE) 2015! This expo is open to both trade and public.

The expo houses more than US$150 million in exhibits by 200 exhibitors from over 26 countries, spanning a gross area of 8,000 square metres. It have the largest contingent of jewelers from Italy to date and the largest collection of diamonds and rare, natural gemstones in Singapore.

I had the opportunity to attend the event's opening ceremony on 2nd of July, with Dr. Lily Neo as the Guest-of-Honour. The opening ceremony started off with Group managing director, Mr. Edward Liu and Dr. Lily Neo giving opening speeches.

Then followed by the glamourous fashion showcase featuring the jewels!..

This set of diamonds on the model is from IVY MASTERPIECE, one of our local brand.

Coloured diamonds are also featured on the runway.

This set on the model features white diamond earrings, blue sapphires and tanzanite necklace..

This is another set from IVY MASTERPIECE of 22 carats diamonds..

Walking around the expo was a huge eye opener for me.. glad to know so many different kinds of beautiful gems! Thanks to Andrew who offered to walk me around and showing me some of the most exquisite pieces! :))

Andrew also introduced Caratell to me.. Featured in the display glass panel is one of its award winning design of creative ASEAN Jewellery Design Competition 2015 - Ever Foliage. This gorgeous Ever Foliage pieces designed by a beautiful lady is Caratell's latest jadeite collection, inspired by a traditional Chinese painting of a pine tree which symbolizes longetivity.

Another beautiful piece from Caratell is this Gooseberry with an extremely rare Orange Melo Pearl in this natural colour and natural round shape..

Now i know why Gems, Diamonds and Jewels are so loved by many..
