[Media Invite] Viveve Treatment For Women Launched By NeoAsia

Not long ago, NeoAsia, a leading distributor for aesthetics and skincare technology with it's corporate headquarter situated in Singapore, launches VIVEVE.

It may be a difficult subject to bring up to the doctor about personal sexual health or the doctor may not understand individual's overall well-being. A survey of over 400 women who had vaginal deliveries, nearly half reported concern with vaginal looseness, or laxity which may then affect their sexual health and well-being. If Vaginal Laxity is one of your concern, please read on..

VIVEVE is a painless, non-surgical treatment that helps to improve Vaginal Laxity and boost sexual health for women. Singapore is the third country in Asia, after Japan and Hong Kong respectively, to have launched Viveve. The Viveve treatment is the latest technology providing a novel approach to tighten vaginal tissues and is now available at The Sloane Clinic and Cutis Medical Laser Clinics in Singapore.

The Viveve treatment is a solution for women who are experiencing problems with vaginal laxity (loss of tightness due to the vaginal introital (opening area) tissues got overstretched, damaging the collagen fibers), especially for those who are sexually active, have had vaginal childbirth and those are going through menopause. During a vaginal childbirth, the tissues can be overstretched and cause trauma to the pelvic floor ligaments with consequent laxity of the affected tissues.

Vaginal laxity can also result in other physical and psychological consequences, including loss of sensation and sexual dissatisfaction. This is a concern that is often unspoken or invalidated in the discussion with their doctors due to embarrassment or lack of expert understanding in this area. According to a Viveve survey, almost half of the women stated vaginal laxity as a concern after childbirth but only 20 percent discussed the condition with their doctors.

Viveve treatment has been used by thousands of patients worldwide. Our goal is to empower women to take charge of their intimate concerns and pursues sexual satisfaction. By making this treatment available in Singapore, more women here can have access to this procedure and improve overall sexual health and quality of life,” said Patricia Scheller, Chief Executive Officer of Viveve. Scheller was in Singapore together with Dr Bruce Allan from Allan Centre to launch the innovative treatment.

A dialogue session with Patricia Scheller, Dr Sylvia Ramirez, Dr Low Chai Ling, and Dr Bruce Allan was held at Joie by DOZO.

Customised cupcakes in relation to the launch!

The Viveve System utilises patented radiofrequency (RF) energy to stimulate the body’s natural collagen rebuilding processes. A medical practitioner will insert a treatment tip, about the size of a thumb, into the vaginal opening and move circumferentially around the area. The Viveve System will deliver pulses of radiofrequency energy to the collagen fibres that make up the underlying tissues, while also cooling the vaginal surface. This process will stimulate the formation of new collagen fibres, resulting in feelings of vaginal tightness and improvement in sexual satisfaction. The Viveve treatment is performed in a physician's office and can be completed in about 30 minutes, with no anaesthesia, and no downtime!

The Viveve's dual heating and cooling capability triggers the body's own natural regenerative process that leads to new and stronger collagen, while maintaining patient safety and comfort. Yes, Viveve treatment is safe and effective with no downtime where radiofreqency energy used in the treatment has been used for over a decade in other medical clinics.

Clinical studies on Viveve have showed significant improvement in vaginal tightness after one 30-minute treatment. At 12 months, improved and sustained tightness was shown by 88% of the women and improvement in sexual satisfaction was indicated in the follow ups. The collagen restoration processes usually take place between 30 – 90 days after treatment with little or no downtime (depends on individual). Patients should be able to experience an improvement in vaginal laxity and sexual satisfaction about 30 days after the treatment. Viveve is the only procedure which is clinically proven to have an effective and long last result after only one treatment. In some cases, patient will be required to receive the treatment once a year to maintain the results.

This treatment is suitable for women from ages 18 to 55 years old with or without at least one vaginal delivery and pre-menopausal.

Check out the video animation of the Viveve treatment here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9VG13s8dAKw.

Q) How have women managed vaginal laxity?
A) Kegel exercises are the most commonly known and prescribed treatment for vaginal laxity. However, while Kegels may help improve the strength of the pelvic floor by improving muscle tone, they do not address lax tissue between the muscle and the vaginal surface. Surgical options currently available to women include significant recovery time and post-procedure pain. These options also involve a variety of health risks and can include high out-of-pocket costs. Therefore, the safe and non-invasive Viveve Treatment works at the cellular level to rebuild and restore collagen.

Refreshments served at the end of the session, loving the Summer Mushroom with Celeriac Puree, Creamy Dill Potato Salad and Pumpkin Risotto!

Received pretty cookies too in which i brought it along to the pool party the next day!! =)

[Media Invite] Green Living 2015, First Exhibition

Green Living is the very first lifestyle event focusing on the eco-conscious users. It is conceptualized as Singapore’s largest sustainability and design show, showcases products and services with clear sustainability focus and commitment. It is targeted at both the business community and the public, with the aim to foster networking, education and facilitate buying and selling of readily accessible green-friendly products available in the market. "Going Green is not just a fad, it's the future".

From 4th to 6th September, the inaugural Green Living 2015 exhibition was opened to the public at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre. The exhibition is conceptualized to be Singapore’s dedicated sustainability and design show held in conjunction with The International Green Building Conference (IGBC) 2015, Build Eco Xpo (BEX) Asia and Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (MCE) Asia. The series of events are all part of the Singapore Green Building Week (SGBW) that happens from 31 August to 6 September 2015.

Green Living 2015 housed over 100 brands showcasing various eco-friendly products that are already available on the market. Amongst some of the participating companies are City Development Limited, Mitsubishi Electric, BMW, Lutron, Nippon Paint and many others. The products on display will include eco-appliances, machines and electronics, eco-interiors, smart home automation technology, alternative transportation, green homes, edible garden and greenery, as well as eco lifestyle products such as organic food, natural skincare and cosmetics, fashion wear and accessories.

On 5th September, Jessie and i visited the exhibition and glad we did for there's so many interesting things to know and see!

The first booth we went to, BCA Green Office Pop-Up, welcomed us with a cup of yummy Green Apple flavour Yoghurt Ice-cream! =)

The inaugural BCA Green Office Pop-Up by Building and Construction Authority is an interactive ‘green office’ that offers green tips and benefits for office users, building owners and landlords. The exhibit showcase how adopting green offices promote a more efficient workforce and a healthier lifestyle through activities that visitors can participate in.

BCA is one of the strategic partner of Reed Exhibitions for the Green Living 2015. They focuses not just on greening buildings but also on engaging tenants and users of buildings to do their part in reducing energy consumption.

Over here, visitors shared their green efforts or green tips and pin them up on the board. Great ideas!

On the other side, leading German marque, BMW showcased their award winning electric and hybrid cars such as the BMW i3 and BMW i8.

Then, there was this recycling station ‘Eco Love Machine’ (ELM) where visitors are encouraged to recycle bottles and plastic cups, and those who did received surprise gift in exchange! Every little gesture to live green will be rewarded. Being green can be fun too!

Unfortunately, we missed out the Responsible Urbanism Forum organized by Global Sense which includes series of dialogue sessions, aims to proactively promote a change in mindset, design, habits and lifestyles for the business community, youths and society at large.

There were Hands-on workshops by Homefix-XPC that offer visitors, including children, the opportunity to make their own lamps, upcycle old glassware into decorative goblets and terrariums or devise their very own mobile phone holders!

Homeowners can also join Khai, the city farmer from Microgreens, who will share insights on how to grow your own vegetables and herbs and turn them into healthy meals that nourish the family. Do check them out at http://www.microgreens.sg/ as they will be setting up a Learning Garden in one of the neighbourhoods in central north of Singapore in upcoming months where the public can volunteer in.

Bikes 4 Fun showcased their innovation turning old bicycle into something useful.

I was amazed by the power Botanicaire has to our environment. The Botanicaire was created as the world’s first revolutionary air purifier that uses nature’s very own power. Made available and designed specifically for homes and offices, Botanicaire is an air purifier that focuses on environmental remediation. It uses a unique mix of 12 different strains of Nuvoc microbes that has an astounding ability to breakdown contaminants in our air space into harmless particles, effectively remove 99% of indoor air contaminants within an hour. Apart from removing the common contaminants such as dirt, dust and odour, Botanicaire can also target toxic gases (released from man-made items such as furniture, electronic items, cosmetics, aerosol sprays or paint.) known as Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). http://www.invitro.sg/botanicaire/productinf/

Led by the ever-charming Morchoo and Titoy, the Nature Ambassador Duo adopted by Green Living 2015, kids between four to twelve joined in the Kids Green Workshop by GardenasiaKids and learn how to make their own terrarium and to upcycle their old T-shirts and plastic bags into something fun. “Gardenasia believes that everyone wants to, and can play a role in adopting an eco-friendly lifestyle. Our workshops and activities have been designed to be engaging and fun for the whole family while educating them on how to lead a greener lifestyle,” said Mr Kenny Eng, Director, GardenAsia. http://gardenasia.com/index.php

During our visit, kids were learning to make Recycled Plastic Flower. =)

Another attraction within that space would be the Mumpreneur Corner, where visitors can find natural and hand-made products by moms and hear their success stories in setting up successful green businesses while balancing the duties of motherhood.

Beautiful tablewares made from wheat!

One of the programme highlighted was the Eco-Fashion Show where Contestants from Miss Earth Singapore 2015 struts off with their catwalks in their comfortable wear. They also have with them their very own green message in mind!

Miss Earth Singapore 2014 Winner, Vanessa also showed up on stage, looking gorgeous with her great smile and personality.

Another highlight was the Singapore Green Story that features the full spectrum of initiatives and policies behind Singapore’s success in achieving the triple bottom line sustainability. This exhibit is presented by various government agencies in a fun, easy-to-grasp manner that will appeal to all.

Before we leave the place, Jessie and I made a pledge in conserving our environment through the eco-pledge wall by Nippon Paint! Love the bright, cheerful colours they have and we all had fun painting/ making handprints on the wall.

And this is the Botanicaire Plant Sushi i got from this year Green Living 2015's exhibition!! It was a great experience for us both and we look forward to Green Exhibition in future! =)
