Sophisca is Taiwan’s very first specialty candy brand, started in 1997 and has since established itself as Taiwan’s beloved and top confectionery retailer. Dubbed “A Sweet Place for Sweethearts”, Sophisca’s saccharine staples are an array of candied fruits, soft bonbons, chocolates and more — products of their maker’s quirkiest and wildest imagination! All Sophisca’s products are designed and manufactured in the brand’s very own factories located in Nantou, Taiwan and are ISO 2002 and HACCAP certified so quality and satisfaction are guaranteed. The name ‘Sophisca’ stands for “smile”, “oishi” (meaning “delicious” in Japanese), “personable”, “high quality”, “international presence”, “care” and “artlessness”, referring to the unbridled creativity of the team behind the brand.

Went down with some of my friends to Sophisca's newest outlet at Marina Square Shopping Mall on 20th of March as the brand launched a collection of “tricking treats” – just in time for April’s Fools’ Day.

True to its proposition of creating confectionery that is quirky and delightfully tongue-in-cheek, Sophisca’s latest “sushi”, “crayons” and “coloured pens” make perfect presents to punk friends and family!

Moltivational "Chocolate Medal".

Not for actual drawing or colouring but 100% edible! This "Crayon Candy Sticks" at $9.90 interestingly melt-in-your-mouth disguised as colouring tools. Delicately made, these 'crayons' come in 12 flavours (honey peach, tropical fruit, mandarin orange, pomelo, lemon, green apple, mint, blueberry, grape, strawberry, chocolate and yoghurt) depicted in vivid colours. Fret not, these coloured candy sticks are made with minimal artificial colouring and essence, perfectly safe for children consumption.

Brown rice "Sushi Bento" set at $11.90! I was given a box of it home! Each box contains 25 dainty chocolate brown rice, disguised as a party tray of sushi! Made with 100% natural brown rice that is smothered with Belgium-imported white chocolate! Super cute!!

It is also a healthier snack choice for all ages, with non-fried, fragrant brown rice that is chockful of vitamins, minerals and dietary fibre (more so than white rice).
