I ever told some of my close friends i wish i gain a little more so that i will look better, healthier. And then i received text messages from Tselyn (who was recommended by Herine) to join her into Kevin Chiak's training at ActiveYouth Fitness Gym, located at 446 Joo Chiat Road!
Kevin himself was awesome, a renowned trainer, 4 times national bodybuilding champion, and now the president and founder of 2 organisations that organise the biggest physique sports events in Singapore. He comes with more than 15 years of coaching hundreds of people, trained himself for 29 years and has a master degree of Science specialising in medical fitness. A superman in our eyes, fit, strong physically and gentle at heart!
So i went to attend the Ladies Group PT lessons with Tselyn and the rest of the beautiful ladies! Yes, a gym class specifically for ladies so all the girlfriends can work out and have fun together! A group PT (Personal training) is an exercise combining strength training and aerobic conditioning in one full-body workout. It comprises a circuit training that improves body muscle strength, as well as cardiovascular endurance, while burning hundreds of calories. A great way to build muscles and burn fats!
It's though small but a cozy, comfortable place. There's a corner with sofa for resting, shelves to put your belongings and bathrooms if you need to change or take a shower. It's kinda make people feels more like a home gym, with added motivation and proper guidance!
They open classes for kids as well, hence explain one of such really adorable and safe equipment specially for the young ones! Do check their website or Facebook page for more information! =)
And here's picture of the ladies working out to be fit and healthy! Lessons with them is always enjoyable where we do small chats and Kevin will joke with us sometimes. Moments like this makes work out less strenuous and fun! There are balls, dumbbells, skipping ropes, mats and resistance equipments. All the equipments there are simple to use and very safe. Even so, Kevin will always make sure to explain and show the new comers how to use them appropriately. As a trainer, he is always patient and motivating.
I have attended 3 sessions (both on Thursdays and Saturdays) so far and all was good. Super nice, cozy environment to exercise in with hit music playing so yeah ladies can groove to the beat! Schedule there is very flexible and can be arranged to your preferred day of the week (but of course have to see if Kevin is available). Overall, I enjoyed my time there. Not sure if its due to the training, I did gained a big 1-2kg over time which i am really happy about (My weight actually dropped a scary 3-5kg in the past few months).. I tend to watch my food intake now, making sure i eat right as advised by Kevin.

Maki-San outlet is just across the traffic and i got to know and fell in love with Maki-San sushi through her recommendation as well! Yummy!~
This picture was taken on my first session with Kevin. It was my first time and know nothing about fitness training but they made it so comfortable for me throughout the entire exercise experience! It was nice to see familiar faces as well as making new friends too!
A lot of fun on my 2nd visit! Waking up early on a Saturday morning is all worthwhile! You know, that satisfying feeling when you know that you are doing something good to your body! =)

Its so nice to have a friend to work out with, and train towards our goal together! =)
Because we stayed in the same area, having her joining me to the gym also means i no longer travel to the gym alone. Wefies in the bus while on our way to the fitness centre! Thank you for the support, Jn! =)
Apart from attending the training session conducted by Kevin, we and one of our other friend also on a weekly night jog/run regime near our estates. Yayyy to getting fit! =)
